Lilly is sat on the floor, a colouring book on her lap.
She quietly hums to herself, as she colours in the pictures neatly.
Her dad, BB enters, looking over to her awkwardly.
She knows something is wrong, and looks up at him with curious eyes,
"Hi Daddy..Whats wrong?"
He shuffles over to her, sitting next to her in the way she's seen L sit.
He turns his head to her, his thumb planted to his lip. He looks unsure whether to say what he plans.
B then quietly says, "Lilly, something happened to your mum..."
"Mummy?"
He nods to her,
"Remember when I taught you about life, and how no one will last forever?"
She pauses slightly, turning her head to his,
"Yes. What do you mean Daddy? Is something wrong with Mommy?"
"......" He remains silent, unable to force a reply from his lips.
She looks at him, poking him with her felt tip pen,
"Come on daddy, tell me. Please?"
He smiles softly at her, this then fading as he starts to talk,
"Your mummy ...Won't be coming back anymore."
"Did she leave? Or ..."
"She's...died."
"..." She has paused, her pen fell on the floor, staining the paper under it. A large red blob of ink spreads across the white paper like a virus extending its reach.
BB looks at her slowly, meeting his eyes with hers.
She didn't like her mum, but feels upset. Her lips tremble slightly.
BB glances to her, then looks down at the floor, forcing his eyes shut. He's feeling bad.
He gently holds her, Lilly grabs him, crying loudly, tears rolling down her face,
"Why did mommy haave to go?!"
BB winces slightly, biting his lip. He knows that if the truth gets out, he's lost her forever...
He places his arm around his four year old daughter, comforting her.
"Its okay Lilly. It will be okay. Mommy's just...sleeping....now..."
He stares blankly at the wall, his dark eyes shadowed under his hair, almost unnoticable. His big red eyes are hidden from the world.
His dull, sad look...twists into a demonic, sinister smirk as he thinks back at what he did...
